It’s been seven years since Elle left the NICU!!
Elle was a full-term infant, who suffered a traumatic birth and received therapeutic hypothermia. During her 2-week NICU stay she also suffered a seizure, received a platelet transfusion and worked hard to gain weight.
Elle’s parents held hope that she would grow up to be happy – and she is! They are grateful for her care and for the knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated staff in the NICU.
Elle is now a thriving first grader! She does Taekwondo, performs on stage, loves to dance and is doing well academically. Recently, she was diagnosed with a sensory hearing loss and does well with her hearing aids. She loves art and has been recognized at school for her kindness.
