Dr. Wellington completed her training at New York-Presbyterian at Weill Cornell Medical Center and arrived at MANA in 2015. She is a member of both the Breast Feeding Task Force and Palliative Care Committee at Goryeb Children’s Hospital. She is also the Neonatology Liaison at the Developmental Follow-up Clinic at Atlantic Health System. She works closely with the developmental specialists and therapists to ensure that our NICU infants receive timely and comprehensive developmental support.
Recently, Dr. Wellington helped to implement an infant-driven feeding program in the NICU; cue-based feeding practices focused on helping infants reach feeding milestones more quickly and decrease their length of stay.
