Dr. Stryker joined MANA in 2015 after completing his Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the Respiratory Care Committee and leads QI initiatives to improve intubation tolerance and premedication for NICU infants. Dr. Stryker also co-directs an initiative to provide enhanced education to physicians and practitioners using simulation training; and he founded the NeoKnowledge initiative at Morristown Medical Center, a monthly conference series which focuses on evidence-based practice. Dr. Stryker is passionate about improving neonatal outcomes following encephalopathy and plans to lead efforts in this area in the future.

Dr. Stryker has spent many years studying respiratory control and dysfunction in preterm infants, including research related to apnea, neural control of breathing and hypoxia. Most recently, in collaboration with scientists at the Biomedical Research Institute of New Jersey, Dr. Stryker is screening for therapeutics to stimulate the repair of damaged lung cells in infants with CLD and respiratory distress.
