Mr. Mallon was a neonatal nurse at Goryeb Children’s Hospital for thirteen year before becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner. He is nationally certified as a neonatal intensive care nurse and neonatal/pediatric transport nurse. His research and quality improvement interests include the study of “the golden hour”, which are the critical first minutes of a premature infant’s life. Mr. Mallon is also interested in translational research studies and serves on the Animal Use and Care Committee at the Biomedical Research Institute of New Jersey (BRInj). This work allows him and his MANA colleagues the opportunity to participate in investigator-initiated neonatology studies at BRInj.
