Dr. Griffin joined MANA in the Spring of 2017 following a lustrous clinical and research career at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital and the University of California at Davis. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Griffin is the Director of Clinical Research at MANA, a position that leverages his neonatal research experience to provide mentorship and support to other clinical researchers at MANA. Alongside, Dr. Rogido, Dr. Griffin leads a committee on infant nutrition in the NICU. He also helped to initiate the Neonatal Intestinal Rehabilitation Committee (NIRC) at Goryeb Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Griffin has a long-standing interest in neonatal nutrition and growth. He has pioneered work on neonatal growth charts for preterm babies and broadened our understanding of many of the nutritional nutrients that contribute to proper growth and development. He has authored more than 100 publications on growth and nutrition, served on several nationally-recognized committees that evaluate neonatal nutritional strategies, and is recognized internationally for his research efforts.
