Karen Gluck, MD
Neonatologist

Dr. Gluck joined MANA in 2014 after completing her Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University Medical Center. She is a member of the Neonatal Palliative Care Committee and the Neonatal Respiratory Care Committee. Dr. Gluck judiciously tracks the latest advances and recommendations in the field of neonatology; helping her colleagues and patient families stay well-informed. Dr. Gluck is also heavily engaged in educational and training activities at MANA. She is the Physician Liaison for our Advanced Neonatal Practitioners and frequently lectures at nursing education events. She serves on several residency committees at Goryeb Children’s Hospital and is a case preceptor for individual medical students.

Dr. Gluck has participated in several important research projects, including, a recent study aimed at understanding the role of naturally-occurring hormones in regulating the severity of necrotizing enterocolitis. Currently, she is leading an initiative to monitor and reduce unplanned extubations in the NICU; and a project to assess the safety and efficacy of using oral glucose gel for the prevention and treatment of neonatal hypoglycemia.
