A Study of Intra-NICU Patient Transfers

NICUs with private/semi-private patient rooms are becoming more common in the US, a model believed to support developmental care and optimize patient outcomes. However, new considerations must be made in regards to intra-NICU patient transfers. In this study, we are exploring the frequency, causes and staff/family perceptions of intra-NICU patient transfers.
