MidAtlantic Neonatology Associates (MANA) is committed to the training, education and mentorship of aspiring research scientists and physicians. In pursuit of that goal, and in collaboration with the Biomedical Research Institute of New Jersey (BRInj), MANA offers an Undergraduate Research Program designed to give students exposure to cutting-edge research, an appreciation for these important careers, and an opportunity to refine their own research skills. We invite outstanding undergraduate students to conduct biomedical research in our state-of-the-art laboratory or in collaboration with a MANA physician. Students may come to MANA for a Summer Internship or participate in semester- or year-long internship programs.
To learn more about the students who have participated in the past or their research projects, follow us on Facebook.
In addition to research-based activities, many of our students take advantage of opportunities to observe physicians in the clinic, and may attend rounds in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Shadowing of physicians in other departments in the hospital may also be arranged, depending on the availability and interests of particular students.
Opportunities for High School Students are also available! Click here to learn more.
